system from most breakdowns and includes an annual tune-up so we prevent some problems from

ANNUAL
TUNE-UP
|
The annual tune-up will be performed once during the Service Contract term
during regular working hours as scheduled by our service department. The annual tune-up
includes:
~ Test and adjust oil burner for maximum
efficiency, using combustion testing equipment.
~ Inspect combustion chamber.
~ Clean and check electrodes and nozzle
assembly.
~ Oil filter cartridge and burner nozzle, if
necessary.
~ Oil all motors on burner, fans, and
circulators.
~ Check all safety and operating controls.
~ Vacuum clean furnace and flue pipe, including
chimney base where accessible, as necessary.
NOTE: If system has more than one circulator, each additional circulator must be covered at an
additional cost. Price also includes coverage of thermostat. If additional circulators are not
covered, NO circulators whatsoever will be covered by this plan.

General
Terms And Conditions Of Agreement
- This Service Contract is available only to
home fuel oil customers on AUTOMATIC
DELIVERY. The Service Contract is in effect for one
year from date payment received. NO REFUND of price
of Service Contract will be made to customers
who discontinue with this
company. Exceptions: The Service
Contract will not be valid unless the
customer has the heating unit, covered by the
contract, cleaned annually. It is the customers responsibility to schedule this.
- Labor and material costs are NOT covered
for the following:
A. We are not responsible for
replacement of obsolete or unobtainable
parts.
B. If a part replaced on a heating
unit is not covered by this plan, the labor for same
is not covered.
C. Service or repair due to flood,
fire, windstorm, earthquake, war, civil disorder,
municipal or government restrictions or
requlatlons.
D. Switch in "OFF" position, fuse
burned out, thermostat not calling for heat, "Out
of Oil", or service for customers whose account
is delinquent.
E. Service calls resulting from
service or adjustments made by others,
INCLUDING CUSTOMER.
- 24-hour emergency service as covered by
this Service Contract does not apply to minor
water or oil leaks, not enough hot water, odors,
noises, etc.
The above work we expect to accomplish between
the hours of 8 A.M. and 4 P.M. on regular work days
(Monday through Friday). If a customer
insists that work be done after 4 P.M. on weekdays,
or on week ends or holidays, customer will be
billed at hourly rates in effect, including time
necessary for travel, portal to portal.
- Emergency service calls will be handled on
a priority basis, priority to be determined by
the Service Manager of The Oil Man Inc. If a
serviceman is unable to gain access to
customer's residence to perform service requested by
customer, a minimum billing (one hour) will be
charged to the customer. If performance of service is
delayed at customer's request, it will be subject to
charge if performed after normal working hours.
Service cannot be performed at a specific time; it must
be performed as workload permits.
- This Service Contract does not cover parts
(listed) or labor if the service call is a direct
result of a defect within the heating unit that the
home owner has neglected to have repaired.
- Annual preventive maintenance checkups
or clean outs will be performed during
normal
working hours only. If annual
preventive maintenance or checkups are
requested outside
of our normal working hours, labor will be billed
at rates in effect.
- Adjustments to domestic hot water
temperature, draining or filling the system, or
balancing the heat to various rooms, or draining the
expansion tank will not be covered by this plan.
- This Service Contract applies only to
normal residence heating plant (up to 2.9 gallons
per hour). Prices quoted on request for
commercial plants.
- We reserve the right to inspect all heating
plants and to approve or reject for service
plan coverage.
- Plan is voided by account delinquency.
- Fuel flow problems are not covered by this
Service Contract. (Examples: frozen or damaged
oil lines, or pumps damaged by moisture in
lines.)
- Blower motors and fan belts used in
conjunction with air conditioning will not be covered
by this Service Contract.
